Policies & house rules
Clear and upfront. These apply to every home, and each listing page repeats its own rules so nothing depends on you finding this page.
Check-in / Check-out
Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM, at every home. Self check-in via keypad — we'll send your code and directions before you arrive. Arriving late is no problem: the keypad works any time. We just ask that late arrivals are kept quiet out of respect for the neighbors. Early check-in and late check-out are available on request when the calendar allows.
Cancellation
Every figure below is a percentage of what you have actually paid us, not of the booking total. Cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in and you get all of it back. Cancel at least 7 days before check-in and you get half of it back. Inside 7 days of check-in, payments already made are non-refundable. If your booking is still awaiting confirmation, nothing has been charged at all — cancelling simply releases the hold. Plans change; get in touch and we'll do what we can.
Occupancy
Please don't exceed the maximum guest count listed for each home — it's set by local rules and by what the space comfortably sleeps. The booking guest must be 25 or over and must stay in the home for the duration of the booking. Under 25 and want to book? Contact us first and we'll look at it case by case.
Treat it like home
No parties or events. Quiet hours are 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM at every home, so please keep noise down and take gatherings indoors. Lock up and turn the A/C down when you head out for the day.
Pets
Pets are welcome — please add them when you book so we can apply the pet fee (shown in your price breakdown before you pay). Assistance animals are always welcome and are never charged a pet fee. Tidal Escape asks that pets are approved in advance, so message us first for that home.
No smoking
All homes are strictly non-smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, away from doors and windows.
